Details of how to book tickets and accommodation for 2027 are due to be released in autumn 2026, which is now. Public sale dates, prices, coach fares, resale arrangements and campervan passes had not been announced at the time of writing.

That matters for anyone watching rental listings, because local availability tends to move in step with those announcements. When ticket sale and resale dates land, some people who were holding a rental let it go, and some who just got tickets start looking. It is one of the few festivals where you can predict roughly when the market will move.

A standard ticket includes camping at Worthy Farm, and the overwhelming majority of the 200,000 or so people there are in a tent. The organisers do not endorse campsites other than the official ones.

So the honest framing for a rental is: it is a comfort upgrade in a market that was never sized for the festival, not the normal way in. If you want a bed and a shower, you are competing with everyone else who wants a bed and a shower, for a supply measured in dozens rather than thousands.

That is exactly the case where an alert earns its keep, because the answer is not to search harder. There is nothing to find until somebody releases something.

Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury town, Street, Wells and Castle Cary all sit within a sensible drive or taxi, and Castle Cary is the railway station most people arrive at. Bath and Bristol are further out but have real supply, and for people who would rather not camp at all they are worth watching in parallel.

Also worth noting: many rentals in the area impose long minimum stays across the festival week. If your search is for two nights and everything nearby demands five, you will see no results and conclude there is nothing, when in fact you are being filtered out by the stay length rather than by availability.
