Questions about plans
Why can't I sign up for the free plan anymore?
The free plan is closed to new sign-ups and now runs as a legacy plan for the people who were already on it. Two things made that necessary. The services AlertBnB runs on, the scraping infrastructure and the email delivery, have gone up in price, and a plan with no revenue behind it could not carry that. On top of that we capped the free plan at 100 accounts, and that cap is full. Rather than keep a waiting list for something that was not paying for itself, we replaced it with Basic, which is free for the first 30 days and €1.99 per month after that, VAT included.
I'm on the free plan. Does anything change for me?
No. Your search keeps running once a day, you keep your active alert, and you can still extend it from the reminder email. We are not moving you onto a paid plan and we are not switching the free plan off. It is only closed to new sign-ups.
Are the prices including VAT?
Yes. The price on this page is the amount that leaves your account, wherever in the EU you are. There is nothing added at checkout. If you are subscribing as a business in another EU country you can enter your VAT number during checkout, which applies the reverse charge and shows the VAT separately on your invoice.
Do I need a credit card for the 30 day trial?
Yes. Basic starts with a 30 day free trial and we ask for a card up front, so the plan continues automatically when the trial ends. You can cancel at any point during those 30 days from your billing settings and you will not be charged.
What is the difference between Basic and Pro?
Speed, mostly. Basic checks your searches twice a day and emails you what is new. Pro checks every 30 minutes, adds push notifications and price drop alerts, and processes your searches before the slower plans. In a tight market a good listing can be booked within hours, so twice a day is comfortable for a relaxed search and too slow for a competitive one.
What happens to my searches if I cancel?
They are paused, not deleted. Your searches, their settings and the listings we already found stay exactly where they are, and starting a plan again resumes them. We also email you once to say the alerts have stopped, so you are not left wondering why the messages dried up.
